Together with Tanya Cheadle (University of Glasgow) I started the "Normative Esotericism Project." Thanks to the recurrent and generous funding of the Radboud-Glasgow Collaboration Fund (2023, 2024, 2025), we have been able to host a four-day workshop in Glenesk (Scotland) and lectures and conference panels in Europe and the US. Our edited volume--Esotericism and Normativity: The Regulation of Sex, Race, and Gender in Modern Alternative Spirituality--is contracted with Manchester University Press.
